By public transport
There is a train station at both Carmarthen and Aberystwyth with hourly daytime bus connections from Carmarthen to Aberaeron on the T1 bus service. From Aberaeron you'll need to catch the T5 bus to New Quay. To arrange a taxi from either station to New Quay ring TAR cabs on 01545 560688 (allow an hour for the journey).
By Car
From the A487 at Synod Inn turn onto the A486 and follow this road all the way to New Quay (Cei Newydd in Welsh) through the villages of Cross Inn and Maenygroes. Pass the church on your left and the surgery on your right. Follow the road up the hill (appropriately named Hill Street). At the top of Hill Street turn immediately left into the lane before Picton Terrace and the cottage is halfway down the lane on your right, marked with a slate sign, Y Stabl.
From the A487 at Llanarth turn onto the B4342 by the Llanina Hotel towards New Quay. Follow the road all the way into New Quay through the hamlet of Gilfachrheda. Pass the Cambrian Hotel on your left. When you reach New Quay pass the Seahorse pub on your right, and keep going on the flat round the corner past the bus station. Pass Picton Terrace on your right and the Art Shop on your left. Turn right into the lane after Picton Terrace and the cottage is halfway down the lane on your right, clearly marked Y Stabl. Park in the space next to the cottage. Please note that the parking space is narrow with challenging angles and you may therefore prefer to drop your luggage off and park in the local pay and display car park 200 yards away next to New Quay Surgery.
